Dustin and Kate first saw each other while attending a young adult’s activity hosted at a local church. Both watched from afar until spring came and the two attended Sunday volleyball. On several occasions, Kate nudged Dustin to ask for her phone number.

Eventually, he did. From there, the two began to explore their cities with each other allowing for fun, laughter, and conversations of a future together. Their hearts grew more and more fond of each other as the days passed and goodbye became harder.

On a frigid day in January 2025, that future became reality when Dustin proposed to Kate. She enthusiastically said “yes”; though Kate admittedly does not remember the moment, their photographer did capture the “yes” moment!
